About Our Free Outdoor Concerts in Portland, ME
The Western Prom Sunset Concerts (WPSC) is a non-profit organization that presents free outdoor concerts in Portland, Maine, featuring a diversity of musical styles each Wednesday evening during the months of July and August at the historic Western Promenade Park.
The Western Prom Sunset Concerts began in 2021 and attracts nearly 300 audience members from the neighborhood and beyond who gather with lawn chairs, children, dogs and picnic dinners to enjoy these free, informal concerts as the sun sets over the White Mountains.
The series presents a wide range of musical groups including folk, jazz, brass, country, African, funk, classical, world beat, and more. In 2024, WPSC established itself as an independent non-profit and received its 501C3 status. The series is supported by a devoted group of neighborhood donors and volunteers. Please donate to help us keep these concerts free each year.

We will have two of Portland’s best food trucks on site this season, Falafel Mafia offers delicious Mediterranean fare and Vy Banh Mi serves up tasty Vietnamese sandwiches. Both will be parked nearby for your dining pleasure.
